Joystick:

1.      In 1910, George and Jobling have invented the "George Stick", which became more popularly known as the joystick (it was built to control aircraft flight).
2.      Joystick is an input device.
3.      It is a pointing device.
4.      It is also known as control column or control stick.
5.      Joystick is a small box with moving stick and buttons.
6.      A joystick is connected to a yoke that pivots freely in all directions
7.      It is used for:
a)      Playing games,
b)      Computer aided designs,
c)      Simulations and
d)      Educational software etc.
8.      It can be used by moving the handle of the joystick.
9.      The joystick does not interfere with the screen.
10.   It is popular among kids because of its speed.
11.   There are five types of joysticks:
                                          i.          Digital Joysticks,
                                         ii.         Paddle Joysticks,
                                        iii.        Analog Joysticks,
                                        iv.         PC Analog Joysticks,
                                         v.         Joy-pads.
